The Chicago White Sox have acquired Adam Haseley in a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The White Sox sent pitcher McKinley Moore to the Phillies in the deal.

Haseley was the eighth overall pick in the 2017 amateur draft.

The San Diego Padres have acquired Matt Beaty in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Los Angeles will receive minor leaguer River Ryan in the deal.

Beaty, 28, was designated for assignment by the Dodgers after hitting .270/.363/.402 showing in 234 plate appearances last season.

The Oakland Athletics have stripped down their roster this offseason and are now focused on moving left-hander Sean Manaea, according to a report.

The A's have already dealt Matt Olson, Matt Chapman and Chris Bassitt.

In addition to Manaea, Oakland is also trying to decide how to proceed with Frankie Montas.

The San Diego Padres have acquired Luke Voit from the New York Yankees for Justin Lange, who was the 34th pick in the 2020 draft. 

The Yankees made the trade one day after signing Anthony Rizzo to a two-year contract.

Voit, a 31-year-old right-handed hitter with power, led the major leagues with 22 home runs during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, when he hit .277 with 52 RBIs.

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Matt Chapman in a trade with the Oakland Athletics, according to multiple reports.

Oakland will receive four prospects in the deal -- right-hander Gunnar Hoglund, shortstop Kevin Smith and lefties Zach Logue and Kirby Snead.

Chapman, 28, has spent all of his five seasons with Oakland, registering a .243 career batting average.

The Seattle Mariners have acquired Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suarez in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds.

The Reds will receive right-handed pitcher Justin Dunn, outfielder Jake Fraley, 2019 second-round pick Brandon Williamson and a player to be named later.

"We're incredibly excited at the chance to acquire two All-Star-caliber players," Jerry Dipoto said. "Jesse has been one of the premier offensive players in the league over the past two seasons, while Suarez brings a long track record as a power hitter."

Bryce Harper wants to see the Philadelphia Phillies add another big bat before the 2022 season.

The reigning National League MVP said it would be a "downer" if the Phillies didn't sign Kris Bryant, Nick Castellanos or Kyle Schwarber. 

"I think all three are winners," Harper said . "I think they've proven that. Schwarber, of course, he won in Chicago, did a great job for the Red Sox last year, and the Nationals. He's a winner as a player. KB can play everywhere, third base, first base, DH, left field. He's a winner as well, and he's done that. He's come up in big spots, big situations. And then Nicky, I really enjoy him as a player, a good left fielder. He'd be a great middle-of-the-order bat for us."

The Braves have their first baseman, and it's not Freddie Freeman.

Atlanta has agreed to a trade for All-Star first baseman Matt Olson from Oakland, a source told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi.

The clubs have not confirmed the deal.

Oakland is set to acquire outfielder Cristian Pache, catcher Shea Langeliers and pitchers Ryan Cusick and Joey Estes, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

As the Atlanta Braves assembled for the first official day of spring training on Sunday, Brian Snitker updated the media on the Freddie Freeman situation.

Freeman remains a free agent after helping lead the Braves to the 2021 World Series title.

"I hadn't talked to him since we left the parade," Snitker said. "I just said, 'Man, I can talk to you now.'

"I was just asking how family was. There was nothing professional or business or anything. Just checking in on him. Let's face it, he's going to be a good friend the rest of my life, regardless of professionally what happens."
